The noise control of air compressor mainly adopts three aspects: muffler, muffler pit and sound insulation technology

1. Install the muffler

The main noise sources are inlet and exhaust ports, and appropriate inlet and exhaust mufflers should be selected. The frequency spectrum of air inlet noise of air compressor is low frequency, and the inlet muffler should choose the resistant structure or the impedance compound structure based on individual and resistance. The air compressor exhaust pressure is large, the air flow speed is high, should be used in the air compressor exhaust port small muffler.

2. Set up acoustic pits

The underground or semi-underground tunnel of the acoustic tunnel is made of bricks with good acoustic absorption. The inlet pipe of the air compressor is connected with the silencing pit, so that the air enters the air compressor through the silencing pit. The use of silencer tunnel can greatly reduce the intake noise of the air compressor, and the service life is longer than that of the general silencer.

3. Build sound insulation cover

After the inlet and outlet of the air compressor is installed with a muffler or the sound suppression tunnel is set up, the airflow noise can be reduced to below 80db(a), but the mechanical noise and motor noise of the air compressor are still very high, so the sound insulation cover should also be installed on the unit of the air compressor.
